Jes煤s Ruiz Huerta

Phd in Law and Economics at the Complutense University, is currently full professor of Applied Economics (Public Finance) at the University King Juan Carlos of Madrid. He has been professor at the Complutense University and Salamanca University, where he was named Vice President of Economics, Planning and Investment. Moreover, for several years, took the direction of Public Policy Department of the Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset, and various positions in the Institute of Fiscal Studies, under the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Between 2004 and 2008, was director of the last institution mentioned. Professor Ruiz-Huerta has directed 17 doctoral theses and published numerous works in various formats. His areas of expertise are focused on analyzing the economic effects of public sector performance, including the study of public policy, questions of distribution and redistribution of income and problems of fiscal federalism and decentralization.

 

 

Luis Ayala Ca帽贸n

Es licenciado (1989) y Doctor (1997) en Ciencias Econ贸micas y Empresariales por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. En el a帽o 1989 inici贸 su carrera universitaria como ayudante de investigaci贸n en el Instituto Universitario de Sociolog铆a de Nuevas Tecnolog铆as de la Universidad Aut贸noma de Madrid. En 1990 consigui贸 una beca F.P.I. en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y en el a帽o siguiente se incorpor贸 al Departamento de Econom铆a de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. En la actualidad es Catedr谩tico de Econom铆a en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, universidad a la que se incorpor贸 en 2003. Entre 2005 y 2009 fue Subdirector de Estudios de Gasto en el Instituto de Estudios Fiscales. Ha sido Visiting Scholar en la School of Social Sciences de la Universidad de Bath, el National Poverty Center de la Universidad de Michigan y el Institute for Research on Poverty de la Universidad de Bath. Sus 谩reas de investigaci贸n comprenden el an谩lisis de la distribuci贸n de la renta, la evaluaci贸n de programas sociales, el estudio de la movilidad de ingresos y el an谩lisis del mercado de trabajo.

 

 

Rosa Mart铆nez L贸pez

Graduated in Political Science and Sociology (1987) as well as in Economics (1989) at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. In 1989 she joined the Spanish Institute for Fiscal Studies, where she worked as a researcher until 1996. In 2009 she obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in the Master of International Migration and Social Integration at the University Research Institute Ortega y Gasset. Ms Martinez is currently lecturer of Public Economics in the Department of Applied Economics II of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid. Her research fields include the analysis of poverty and social exclusion, economic inequality, immigration and the redistributive effects of taxes and transfers, issues on which she has published several articles. She has also participated in various books and reports related to income distribution, poverty and living conditions in Spain.
